A verified record of what a person has actually demonstrated — not a grade, but evidence, with the date and the method it was established by. Anyone holding the link can open it and check what is claimed and how. It is designed to survive the loss of every other document a person owns.

What does it cost a student?

Nothing, ever. Not a trial, not a discount, not a scholarship a family has to apply for. Uweza is funded by institutions, diaspora patrons, businesses and families who choose to pay knowing it is not only for their own child.

How is a claim on the Passport verified?

Accepted Answer

Never by the learner asserting it. Either a certificate is confirmed with the board that issued it, an organisation confirms a programme it ran, or an understanding is tested again weeks later at a moment the system chose — with a question generated fresh rather than repeated.

Who is Uweza for?

Accepted Answer

Students and the teachers who work with them; scholarship and entrepreneurship programmes that need evidence rather than a transcript; and young people whose records are at risk from displacement. It began in Cameroon and serves learners and programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Does Uweza work without reliable internet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lessons are cached on the device once opened, and work completed offline syncs when a connection returns. It was built for African mobile networks rather than adapted to them afterwards.
