Check the report yourself, against the record it came from.
A funder usually receives a report it cannot test. On Uweza, a programme's report is compounded from its participants' records, lists the sources of every figure, and can be re-checked by you as well as by the partner who sent it.
Every programme you fund, in one place
An implementing partner links its programme to you with a grant: your Uweza address, the grant’s name and reference, its period and reporting cadence. It appears for you to accept or decline. Accepted grants carry the reports sent under them.
Funded programmes
Grants that implementing partners have linked to Demo Funder, and the reports they have sent under them.
Re-check against the record
An upward report is frozen at its cutoff, fingerprinted and signed with the platform key. When you re-check it, Uweza recomputes each figure from the sources the report listed and says, figure by figure: Reproduced, Differs, or Source changed since, with what changed (a participant report withdrawn, a tranche attestation revoked, a Passport entry withdrawn).
The partner sees the same re-check you do. You can accept the report, or send a query with a note that the partner sees.

Comparable across partners
Cohorts that partners share with you are read the same way for every partner: Trust and Quality, growth since joining, the share of revenue evidenced by operator messages, people paid with evidence, stage decisions and tranches. Money is converted to USD at dated rates, and each rate is printed with its date and source.

What you can never see
Aggregates only. No participant is named, and no median, share or average is shown for fewer than 3 participants, because a small group is easy to re-identify. Transactions stay with the founder.
A partner can stop sharing a cohort; a funder can decline a grant. Both are recorded.
Anyone, with or without an account, can check a report’s signature and fingerprint: Check a record.
Not built yet
- Uweza does not read a founder’s SMS inbox. The founder records each entry and pastes or forwards the operator’s message; Uweza reads that message and checks the entry against it.
- Photographed receipts are fingerprinted and attached, not read.
- The interface is in English. Operator messages are read in French and English.
- Contract signing needs a code by SMS, and there is not yet an SMS provider covering Cameroon. Contracts can be drafted, sent and tracked; signing a Cameroonian number waits on that provider.
- Plans drafted from the record, field-research evidence, a programme’s own call for applications, and mapping to IRIS+ indicators are designed, not built.
