Books, reports and programme records built on evidence.
Most of Africa's work is informal and leaves no paperwork. Every sale on mobile money still leaves a message. Uweza Business builds the record from that evidence, from one founder's ledger up to the report a programme sends its funder.
Three people use it, and each sees what is theirs.
Programmes running cohorts
Accelerators, fellowships, leadership and professional-development programmes. A cohort workspace that puts quiet participants first, reports you define, sessions, mentorships, milestones and tranches, and upward reports compounded from all of it.
Read moreFounders
A ledger whose entries are checked against the operator’s message, reports frozen and fingerprinted at submission, Trust & Quality read from your own records, and a check that catches contradictions before a programme does.
Read moreFunders
Every programme you fund, across implementing partners, read the same way. Reports arrive signed, and you can re-check each figure against the records it came from.
Read moreThe rules every figure obeys.
- No figure is typed into a report.
- The measured half of every report is computed by Uweza from the records. The founder’s own words sit beside it, labelled as such.
- Every figure says what it was computed from.
- Revenue is the sum of listed entries; a programme figure lists its sources; a section with no data says so instead of showing zero.
- What is submitted is frozen.
- A submitted report is fingerprinted and its entries locked. One changed byte fails the public check.
- A programme funds a venture; it does not own it.
- Programmes see direction and obligations, not transactions, unless the founder shares a report. Funders see aggregates, never names.
Demo Cohort 2026
- Nothing recorded for 41 days.
- Quarter 3 report was due 30 September and has not been submitted.
Where the ventures come from.
Any founder or programme can use Uweza Business on its own. It is also the second half of a pipeline: a scholar on Uweza Education answers a question, builds a project a community asked for, and when it is funded it opens a venture here, linked to the work it came from. The same Capability Passport holds the coursework and the venture.
Not built yet
- Uweza does not read a founder’s SMS inbox. The founder records each entry and pastes or forwards the operator’s message; Uweza reads that message and checks the entry against it.
- Photographed receipts are fingerprinted and attached, not read.
- The interface is in English. Operator messages are read in French and English.
- Contract signing needs a code by SMS, and there is not yet an SMS provider covering Cameroon. Contracts can be drafted, sent and tracked; signing a Cameroonian number waits on that provider.
- Plans drafted from the record, field-research evidence, a programme’s own call for applications, and mapping to IRIS+ indicators are designed, not built.
